Chapter 24 Reaping the consequences
Fang Qianyou, who only had classes for half a day on Saturday morning, was excited to go shopping at a nearby mall and invited Xi Yu to go with her.
"Sorry, I have something to do today. You can go by yourself," Xi Yu said with a smile.
Fang Qianyou pouted. Although she was disappointed, she didn't force her. She said goodbye and left on her own.
After most of the students had left the school, Director Chen and Teacher Zheng approached her and began the re-examination process.
She was the only one sitting in the large classroom. She glanced at Director Chen and Teacher Zheng, and asked with a smile, "Director Chen, is this the only place where I'm retaking the exam? But why is only Teacher Zheng here? Shouldn't the teachers of the other subjects be here too?"
Director Chen twitched his lips, displeased with Xi Yu's questioning: "Due to time constraints, we've decided to only have you retake the math exam, since Teacher Zheng discovered your cheating in that subject."
Xi Yu made a sudden realization, then asked in confusion, "Then the principal must know about this, right?"
"Of course, I've already reported it to the principal. This is a minor matter that doesn't require the principal to personally supervise," Director Chen said in a deep voice, then, citing the need to avoid wasting time, told her to start the exam immediately.
Xi Yu shrugged, opened the computer screen in front of her, and glanced at it. Sure enough, the questions on it were much more difficult than the previous exams.
She smiled gently and began to answer the questions without hesitation.
With only half the time remaining, she casually pushed the display forward and lazily said, "I'm done answering."
Director Chen was surprised by her speed and quickly gestured for Teacher Zheng to go up and correct the papers.
Teacher Zheng grinned maliciously. He didn't believe Xi Yu could solve the questions he set. Those were all advanced level questions, areas that were impossible for someone at the high school level to even begin to explore!
He opened his personal AI and received the answer sheet sent by Xi Yu. He was about to mark it with a big "X", but he stopped just as he was about to mark it.
Xi Yu's answers were all correct! And they were accurate to five decimal places!
Teacher Zheng felt a bean of cold sweat slide down her forehead.
Seeing the stern expressions on Director Chen and Teacher Zheng's faces, which seemed to be facing a formidable enemy, Xi Yu felt a sense of satisfaction. She casually urged, "Aren't we in a hurry? Why hasn't Teacher Zheng finished grading them yet?"
Teacher Zheng's face turned pale and then red. His hand, which was gripping the AI, trembled slightly. Then, he gritted his teeth, slammed his hand heavily on the table, and roared, "Fail!! All the answers are wrong!"
"Oh?" Xi Yu calmly rested her chin on her hand, smiling as if she were watching a good show. "Teacher Zheng is probably getting old and her eyesight is failing. I suggest you change jobs."
Director Chen's expression was also very unpleasant. This matter had nothing to do with him, but Teacher Zheng had dragged him into it! He resented Teacher Zheng, but in order to protect his reputation, he could not allow Xi Yu to stay in this school any longer!
