Chapter 88 Never Forgive
Chapter 88 Never Forgive
"This is Wu Qi's courtyard. Your place is too remote. This is the closest one we can choose," Chen Jing said, pointing to a courtyard in front of her.
"Thank you for your help, young lady!" Shen Xu said gratefully.
“Wu Qi isn’t here! I saw him being taken away by Wang Bu! I also know where Wang Bu lives.” Chen Jing immediately spoke up when she saw Shen Xu trying to leave.
"No need, it's getting late, you two should head back early! I'll wait for him here." After saying that, Shen Xu turned and walked towards Wu Qi's courtyard without looking back.
"Jiang Yun, didn't you say you'd leave after asking the questions? Why are you still following us?" After Shen Xu left, Chen Jing angrily questioned Jiang Yun.
“Without me, he wouldn’t have even looked at you!” Jiang Yun turned around and prepared to leave Qingzhu Residence.
"You wouldn't have fallen for Shen Xu too, would you?" Chen Jing looked at Jiang Yun with some suspicion.
"What a joke!" Jiang Yun said coldly.
When Shen Xu arrived at Wu Qi's courtyard gate, he found the door locked. However, Wu Qi didn't keep him waiting for long, and soon he saw Wu Qi. But when he heard that Wu Qi was going to find Wang Bu, Wu Qi's face fell.
"Shen Xu, I just got back from him!"
"I have something important to discuss with you," Shen Xu said solemnly.
Seeing Shen Xu's serious expression, Wu Qi also put away his joking thoughts, and then led him to the place where Wang Bu lived.
"Junior Brother Shen, I didn't expect to see you again so soon. You certainly didn't come here tonight to catch up with me, did you?" Wang Bu said with a smile.
"To be honest, I need your help with something!" Shen Xu replied.
"Junior Brother Shen, please tell me. I will definitely not refuse if I can do it."
"I want to go back to the Shen family and bring Uncle Wang out. I wonder if the Wang family can take care of him for a while?" Shen Xu asked.
"Haha, I thought it was something serious. As young masters of the Wang family, if we don't even have this much power, wouldn't we have lived in vain?" Wang Bu laughed immediately.
"Well then! It's almost the end of the year, isn't it? Wu Qi and I also need to go home for a visit. I wonder if we could travel together, Junior Brother Shen?"
"Is it almost the end of the year?" Shen Xu murmured. The misty bamboo realm blurred his concept of time, but if he calculated it, it was indeed coming soon.
"I'm leaving tomorrow, and I'm not sure if there will be any scheduling conflicts," Shen Xu said hesitantly.
"How about Junior Brother Shen waits for me for a while tomorrow?"
“Of course, it is my honor to travel with Senior Brother Wang,” Shen Xu replied.
“Junior Brother Shen, I know you don’t have a place to stay right now. Why don’t you stay here tonight? We can travel together tomorrow,” Wang Bu asked.
“Okay!” Shen Xu readily agreed.
"And what about me?" Wu Qi pointed to his own nose.
"Go back to sleep!" Wang Bu said with a laugh.
Shen Xu had forgotten how long it had been since he had slept in a bed. The sight of a bed gave him a strange sense of alienation. Lying on the bed, feeling the long-lost comfort brought by the soft bedding, he couldn't help but let out a deep sigh of relief.
With his eyes closed, Shen Xu kept thinking about the last words the sect leader and Elder Huang had said to him, and he couldn't fall asleep for a long time.
Elder Huang said that the aura on his body should be sword aura, a very special kind of power that only a few people can awaken. He didn't know why he triggered that power once when he came out of the Cloud Mist Bamboo Realm. He had only heard about sword aura in his previous life, and he knew nothing about what sword aura was or how to use it.
However, since Elder Huang could see that he possessed sword intent, he must know more and seemed willing to teach him. If Wang Bu had many things to do tomorrow, he could visit Elder Huang at the library first.
……
The next morning, after confirming with Wang Bu that he wouldn't be able to finish his business until at least noon, Shen Xu went to the library.
The library was still nearly empty. Suddenly, Shen Xu remembered that the Xuan Shui Manual he had taken from the library was no longer in his bag, and it must have been taken back.
Elder Huang seemed to have anticipated his arrival, as he sat down early at the table, drinking tea and flipping through the books in his hands.
"Elder Huang, I've come to thank you. Without the pills you gave me, I wouldn't have been able to leave the Cloud Mist Bamboo Realm," Shen Xu said respectfully.
"Those pills actually helped you?" Elder Huang asked, putting down the book in his hand with some surprise.
"Without those fasting pills, I would definitely have starved to death in the Cloud Bamboo Realm. But could I find out who made those fasting pills?" Shen Xu asked tentatively.
"Why didn't you tell me this important information sooner!"
"It seems we have to go somewhere else to buy a batch of fasting pills," Elder Huang murmured.
"Uh... it must have been tough for you to consume so many fasting pills. However, the sect's fasting pills are all purchased from outside sources, so I don't know who actually refined them." Elder Huang's eyes showed a look of sympathy for Shen Xu.
"so!"
"Is there anything you want to teach me about the aura I exude?" Shen Xu asked respectfully.
"If I asked you to forgive Chen Lian, would you be willing?" Elder Huang asked calmly.
"Can I ask why?" Shen Xu frowned.
"That's why!"
Before he could even react to what Elder Huang meant, a vast and boundless invisible aura instantly rushed towards him from Elder Huang.
Shen Xu felt as if he had been suddenly struck by an invisible mountain of immense weight. The pressure was so intense that he had no time to react and involuntarily bent over.
As time went on, the pressure intensified, like a cruel hand gripping his throat, making it incredibly difficult for him to breathe. Each inhale felt like it drained all his strength.
His face gradually turned as pale as paper, and large beads of sweat slid down his forehead one after another, flowing down his cheeks, soaking his clothes, and blurring his vision.
Under the immense pressure of this imposing aura, Shen Xu struggled to raise his head, his face contorted as he stared at the old man before him. He couldn't understand why the old man was suddenly treating him this way.
Chen Lian was the one who attacked him first, so why should he forgive Chen Lian! He thought Chen Lian was a fair elder, but he never expected that Chen Lian and his ilk were birds of a feather!
But the entire Enforcement Hall couldn't break him, so he's even less afraid now!
So he gritted his teeth, mustered his last bit of strength, and slowly straightened his body, his eyes bloodshot, staring intently at the old man before him, roaring one after another: "Never! Forgive!!"
Every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, filled with endless resentment and determination.
Just then, a powerful and invisible aura erupted from Shen Xu's seemingly frail body like a volcanic eruption. This aura, like a surging wave, swept straight towards the old man, colliding fiercely with the oppressive aura emanating from him.
In an instant, the two forces intertwined and clashed, forming a shockwave visible to the naked eye that rapidly spread outwards from the two of them.
With a soft "whoosh," a fierce gust of wind swept through the first floor of the library, swirling through the rows of bookshelves and causing the pages to rustle and swirl, creating a clear and pleasant "whoosh" sound, as if providing accompaniment to this intense confrontation.
However, the gust of wind came quickly and went quickly, disappearing without a trace in just a moment. But along with the momentum of the two men, Shen Xu's last bit of strength also vanished.
As if his spine had been removed, he could no longer support his body, his legs buckled, and he collapsed heavily onto the cold ground.
At this moment, his face was as pale as paper, his chest was heaving violently, and he was panting heavily. He felt like he was about to lose half his life.
"Did you hear that, Chen Lian? Shen Xu said he will never forgive you." The old man looked at Shen Xu, who was lying on the ground, expressionless, and said calmly.
He then leisurely turned back to his seat, picked up a steaming cup of fragrant tea, gently blew away the foam on the surface, and slowly took a sip. He seemed completely unconcerned about what had just happened, simply waiting quietly for Shen Xu to recover his strength.
Chen Lian also came out of the library and said helplessly, "If you don't want to forgive, then don't forgive. Why shout so loudly?"
At this moment, Shen Xu also began to realize what was going on. The old man was using Chen Lian to activate the sword energy within him.
He could now vaguely sense a vast aura within his body, but he couldn't pinpoint its exact location. He only knew that he could draw this aura out of his body if he wanted to.
