Chapter 24 You've Been Arrested
Zhang Zheng quickly stepped forward, took out handcuffs, and reminded him:
"Qi Tongwei, whatever you do, don't try to resist."
Yang Ming placed his hand on the gun at his waist. Now that there was a formal arrest warrant, he was ready to shoot Qi Tongwei if he dared to resist.
Qi Tongwei calmly extended his hand, allowing Zhang Zheng to handcuff himself.
With handcuffs on, what did Yang Ming have to fear?
He pulled Zhang Zheng behind him, stepped forward, and faced Qi Tongwei directly.
"Qi Tongwei, why aren't you arrogant anymore? No matter how much you struggle, you're still in my hands."

Qi Tongwei rushed forward and stomped hard on Yang Ming's right wrist, which was holding the gun, and kicked the pistol away.

Zhang Zheng quickly stepped forward and stood in front of Qi Tongwei, while three criminal police officers drew their guns and pointed them at Qi Tongwei.
"Calm down, everyone calm down. There are so many students; we can't let innocent people get hurt."
Some students reacted quickly and lay down on the ground, some stared blankly in disbelief, and others ran away as fast as they could.
"Qi Tongwei violently assaulted the police. Shoot him dead! Don't listen to Zhang Zheng!"
Yang Ming was so anxious that he went crazy. Qi Tongwei stepped on his chest, and he almost passed out.
"Don't fire! Don't fire! Qi Tongwei, stop your futile resistance. You can't defeat them."
Zhang Zheng admired Qi Tongwei's courageous act of risking everything for justice.
Even when he was young, he couldn't do it.
Qi Tongwei moved his foot away from Yang Ming's chest and stared down at him.
"I am the vast ocean of stars you can never reach, you piece of trash."
Yang Ming caught his breath and said, "Zhang Zheng, are you even a policeman? Qi Tongwei violently assaulted a police officer, are you blind?"
Unable to contain himself, Zhang Zheng retorted, "I saw that you started it."
Yang Ming's mind went blank for a moment, then he flew into a rage.
"Qi Tongwei provoked me and spat in my face, didn't you see that?"
"We are police officers, and we must never strike the people first."
That's all Zhang Zheng can do. Everyone has elderly parents to care for and young children to raise.
"Qi Tongwei is not one of the people; he is a violent maniac."
Yang Ming clutched his chest, furious at Zhang Zheng's betrayal.
Qi Tongwei squatted down, launching into a sarcastic tone, "Captain Yang, I'm truly ashamed of you for falling to this level."
"Qi Tongwei, your arrogance won't last long. Do you know who my uncle is?"
Liang Lu was terrified when Yang Ming suddenly said such a mindless thing.
She had to step in and stop them, saying, "Officer, this is a school. Please don't disrupt the students' classes. Arrest the suspect immediately!"
Just as Yang Ming was about to speak, he saw Liang Lu staring intently at him. He immediately realized he had almost said the wrong thing.
Zhang Zheng walked over, his expression calm. "Qi Tongwei, things have come to this point; there's no need for further futile struggles."
Qi Tongwei laughed and said, "Captain Zhang, I'm giving you face today. If you had fired just now, I would have definitely killed him. You made the right decision."
Yang Ming felt a chill run down his spine when he saw Qi Tongwei's smile.
Liang Lu saw murderous intent in Qi Tongwei's eyes. This man was resisting so fiercely; could it really be that she forced him to do it?
Zhang Zheng breathed a sigh of relief. He believed Qi Tongwei's words. If they had fought to the death just now, he would probably have been stuck on the sidelines for the rest of his life until retirement.
Suddenly, two cars from the prosecutor's office drove up.
A middle-aged man led two prosecutors to Qi Tongwei.
"Qi Tongwei, we are prosecutors from the Provincial Procuratorate. We are now detaining you in accordance with the law."
Yang Ming was helped up by two policemen, and he was furious. This guy was just trying to steal the credit.
"Prosecutor, Qi Tongwei has already been arrested. Besides, there's no reason to hand him over directly to the procuratorate without a police investigation."
"Hello, officer, I am Feng Yi, the director of the investigation department of the Provincial Procuratorate. This case has been reported to the Jingzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau. Please cooperate."

"Director Feng, I'll say it again, you're not taking Qi Tongwei away today."
Director Feng finally understood why the Provincial Procuratorate was in such a hurry to bring Qi Tongwei back. Judging from Yang Ming's attitude, it was all to protect Qi Tongwei.
"Captain Yang, everyone is very busy, please cooperate."
"Director Feng, I need your cooperation."
Yang Ming pointed at Director Feng through gritted teeth.
On this sweltering day, Qi Tongwei had no intention of wasting time with them, so he headed straight for the prosecutor's office car.
