Chapter 12 Even cattle and horses aren't as tired as you guys.
Li Yuan put away his phone, turned around, and walked back to the crowd.
He waved his hand, his tone carrying a sense of relief: "Let's go, we're starving."
"Who is it?" Kang Seulgi leaned closer, her round eyes filled with curiosity.
She had only vaguely heard a rather noisy female voice, as if... lecturing Li Yuan?
The tone and the manner of their conversation didn't sound like playful banter between ordinary friends; it suggested a special relationship between them.
"Is she Auntie?" she asked cautiously after thinking for a moment.
"Uh, you mean..." Li Yuan paused for a moment, then said somewhat pettily, "As for age, you could say that."
"Serves you right for scolding me for so long!" He silently added in his mind, the corners of his mouth curving even wider.
"Hey! Xiaoyuan!" Bae Joo-hyun immediately reached out and gently patted his arm. "Don't say that... Unnie."
She ultimately didn't reveal Kim Tae-yeon's name.
"Friend, friend." Li Yuan finally dropped his mocking expression and obediently changed his address.
Just friends?
Why did Taeyeon unnie act like that... that tone, that attitude, it doesn't seem like something ordinary friends would do.
Bae Joo-hyun did not press the matter further.
Firstly, she is naturally introverted and reserved, and doesn't like to pry into things; secondly, this occasion is really not suitable for discussing such topics.
The group got into the company-arranged car, crossed the street they had come from, and headed towards the restaurant.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, Li Yuan discovered that his agent had clearly done his homework beforehand.
All the dishes on the menu that require advance reservations have already been ordered.
Bae Joo-hyun and the others each added a few more dishes they wanted to eat. The menu was circulated on the table before finally being passed to Lee Won.
He didn't stand on ceremony and quickly added two more of his favorite dishes before handing the menu back to the waiter.
"How long will Xiaoyuan be staying in Taiwan this time?" While waiting for the food, Bae Joo-hyun picked up her water glass and took a sip, her tone as casual as if she were talking about the weather.
"If it weren't for this matter, I should have arrived in the capital by now." Li Yuan leaned back in his chair and sighed.
He had just finished watching the concert yesterday and was planning to head home today.
Looking back now, I'm glad I didn't buy the tickets in advance, otherwise I would have had to pay a cancellation fee.
"This was our oversight." The agent stood up and bowed again.
His expression was full of sincerity, whether it was genuine or not, at least he put on a very convincing act.
"Alright, alright, I didn't mean to blame you." Li Yuan waved his hand. "Anyway, we're all just tools, laborers, so let's stop blaming each other."
"I'm not an ox or a horse!" Kang Seulgi immediately retorted defiantly.
"Yes, you're not an ox or a horse." Li Yuan glanced at her and added slowly, "Even oxen and horses don't get up early or go to bed late like you."
"You..." Kang Seulgi opened her mouth, her mind racing to come up with a rebuttal, then sadly realized that what Lee Won said did indeed make a lot of sense.
The dishes were served quickly.
"Let me take a picture first." Li Yuan took out his phone as soon as he saw the waiter put down the last dish and turn to leave the private room.
"When did Xiao Yuan become like a girl?" Bae Joo-hyun tilted her head and looked at him, her tone teasing.
In her memory, Lee Won wasn't the kind of person who would take photos and post them on social media before eating—at least not when he was in Korea.
"Yeah, yeah, what's it called?" Son Seungwan immediately chimed in, "You guys are so enthusiastic."
"That's called being effeminate." Li Yuan rolled his eyes at her, then took a few pictures with his phone. "This is called 'the vermicelli eats first,' what do you know?"
As he spoke, he quickly sent the photos to the group chat.
"I forgot that our Xiaoyuan is also a big content creator on YouTube," Bae Joo-hyun remarked. "How many followers does she have now?"
She remembered that when Li Yuan was in South Korea, his Bilibili account was just a nobody with only a few dozen followers, and he would only get a few comments after posting a video for half a day.
She even used translation software to read several more messages.
"Only 90,000, it can't compare to yours," Li Yuan said.
"Yes, we have to take pictures too." Park Soo-young seemed to have been reminded and also took out her phone.
Others followed suit, and for a moment the private room was filled with the sound of cameras clicking.
"Old Wan has been secretly eating good stuff behind everyone's back again."
"It looks and smells delicious!"
"They're quite sensible; the fans eat first."
"Why did you order so much? Did you really meet up with your female fans behind our backs?"
Li Yuan smiled and typed back: "How could that be? It's just a gathering of friends."
Less than three seconds after the message was sent, a new message immediately popped up in the group: "Holy crap! Lao Wan, you still say you have nothing to do with Bai Cai! The photos you posted are exactly the same!"
A user with the ID "Cabbage is the Best in the World" posted a screenshot showing the same private room, just from a different angle and with different seats.
The group chat immediately became lively after that comment.
Lee Won paused for a moment, then subconsciously looked up at Bae Joo-hyun, who was looking down at her phone.
This angle clearly indicates that the photo was taken from her perspective.
"Sister Pei, you posted on Instagram?"
"Hmm, what's wrong?" Bae Joo-hyun looked up, blinked, and looked completely innocent. "You saw it, aren't you going to give it a like?"
"That's what I saw." Li Yuan turned his phone screen to show her, and sighed deeply. "That's what the fans saw."
"Oh, what should we do?" Bae Joo-hyun leaned over for a look, and her expression immediately changed from bewilderment to guilt.
"Sigh, I'll handle it." Li Jing sighed. "Later, could you ask the company to cooperate and get Red Velvet to cooperate with my interview?"
"Just like f(x)."
"Ah, okay." The agent nodded.
He was no stranger to this form of collaboration with content creators; it involved interaction, playing mini-games, chatting, and interview-style content—essentially just a different form of marketing.
Li Yuan lowered his head and started typing in the group chat, his fingers flying across the screen: "It's a collaboration, a meal together. They have interviews scheduled after their performance, so we had a meal together to get to know each other beforehand."
"Damn, Wanna One has landed a really big project, even collaborating with Red Velvet."
"What?! It's clearly Red Velvet who's doing better now, able to collaborate with our blogger! Our Wanna One has even collaborated with f(x)!"
Sure enough, a few words were enough to shift the viewers' attention from "relationship" to "cooperation".
Lee Won has collaborated with similar groups before, including f(x), Apink, WJSN, and GFriend.
"And this time it's the whole team, so you can look forward to it."
"Yay, I want to watch the dishwashing!"
"With Sister Pei around, why bother washing dishes?"
"Park Soo-young is so beautiful, okay? She's a Hong Kong style goddess."
"Old Wan, tell me a time quickly, I'll set my alarm and wait!"
"I've eaten." Li Yuan looked at the constantly refreshing messages in the group chat, locked the screen, and placed his phone face down on the table.
This group of people won't stop anytime soon.
Instead of wasting time just standing there watching, let's finish this delicious meal while it's still hot.
