Chapter 153 Please Don't Talk Too Much 1
"Susu, we're going to Auntie's house today. Have you packed your luggage?"
While busily tidying up various items in her room, Su's mother shouted loudly towards Su Su's room.
Su Su, with her hair a mess, walked out of her room sleepily and heard her mother in this world nagging incessantly.
She raised her hand to rub her eyes, yawned, and didn't quite hear what her mother said, just nodded haphazardly.
Su Su had just started her summer vacation, and the thought of becoming a high school student after the summer was already on her mind.
Su Su decided to make the most of her holiday, so she played games non-stop until late at night. Last night, she got so angry at her terrible teammates that she played several more games and ended up staying up all night.
Fortunately, she had already packed her luggage, otherwise she would be being nagged by her mother right now.
Su Su, who had only been at home for a few days, was going to her aunt's house, mainly because she had heard that her aunt hadn't been feeling well lately.
My parents are so busy with work that they simply don't have time to visit my aunt.
Su Su was bored and had nothing to do, and she didn't like to do chores, so her parents sent her to visit her sick aunt.
Strictly speaking, my aunt wasn't actually sick.
At the dinner table, Su Su heard her parents talking about her aunt's situation. They said that her aunt had always wanted a child, but for some reason, she just couldn't get pregnant.
As her aunt gets older, she becomes increasingly hesitant.
My uncle didn't say anything, but my aunt became somewhat depressed because of it.
The uncle thought that Su Su was already a teenager and didn't need much care. She was sensible and well-behaved. If he let her stay for a few days and keep his aunt company, it might cheer her up.
Moreover, if Su Su's middle school entrance exam results are good enough, she might be able to get into the best high school in the area. It would be perfectly reasonable for her aunt and uncle to take care of her occasionally then.
Of course, all of this is on the premise that Su Su can get a high enough score.
However, it's always good to get closer to her aunt first, especially since her aunt and uncle treat Su Su well, so it's only right that she go and visit them.
So Su's parents decided without hesitation to send Su Su to the city where her aunt lived.
Su Su arrived in this small world during her high school entrance exam, and immediately began to examine the original owner's fate.
The original owner of this small world was slandered and ultimately chose to commit suicide because he could not bear the humiliation.
With a mix of trepidation and anticipation, the original owner embarked on her journey to her aunt's house. Upon arriving, she encountered Xu Jinyan, a girl the same age as her.
Xu Jinyan stood at the door, her face beaming with a warm and cheerful smile, her eyes sparkling, and her short hair swaying gently with her movements.
She greeted him casually, seemingly unconcerned about anything, and grabbed the original owner's hand.
"You must be Su Su. Aunt Su mentioned you a few days ago. We've been looking forward to your arrival. Now we can play together!"
Her voice was clear and resonant, carrying an infectious energy.
The aunt watched from the side, a satisfied smile that hadn't been seen in a long time appearing on her face, and much of the melancholy that had been shrouding her brows dissipated.
When the original owner first got to know Xu Jinyan, he was genuinely touched by her enthusiasm and felt a deep affection for her.
Xu Jinyan only recently moved here. Her parents renovated the house and then moved the whole family here, and even opened a fruit shop.
I heard that their family plans to use money to get Xu Jinyan into No. 1 Middle School when school starts in September.
Since neither of them was familiar with the surrounding environment, the original owner was always a little cautious and didn't dare to take the initiative to interact with others.
Xu Jinyan, however, was completely different. With her naturally cheerful personality, she quickly became familiar with the people in the neighborhood.
Whether it's an old man playing chess on the street or an aunt selling snacks at the alley entrance, they all praise her highly and adore her.
This made the original owner admire her social skills immensely.
She's practically a social butterfly; it seems there's no relationship she can't handle.
However, after spending several weeks with Xu Jinyan, the original owner gradually developed a strange feeling in her heart.
It wasn't that Xu Jinyan's behavior had changed significantly, but rather that a strange, inexplicable discomfort welled up deep within the original owner's heart.
Even though Xu Jinyan was still happily sharing all sorts of things as usual, her smile was still bright, and her words were still fluent, the original owner just felt that something was wrong.
Whenever this feeling welled up in her heart, the original owner would subconsciously look at her aunt. Seeing the smile that had returned to her aunt's face because of Xu Jinyan, the original owner would silently swallow back the words that were about to come out, and secretly wonder if it was her problem, or if she was overthinking things.
Later, Su's parents' shop became so busy that they desperately needed help at home.
Meanwhile, with Xu Jinyan by her side, her aunt and uncle no longer seemed to need the original owner of the body to be by their side all the time.
So the original owner followed her parents' arrangements, packed her bags, and went back to help.
The days flew by in a flurry of activity, and soon after, exciting news arrived: the original owner had indeed been admitted to the No. 1 High School.
The original owner went to the school dormitory with great joy. She knew that her aunt and uncle also had their own lives, so she sensibly did not disturb them for some trivial matters.
On the first day of school, the original owner walked into the classroom with anticipation for high school life, only to be surprised to find that Xu Jinyan was also in the class.
At that moment, the slight discomfort that Xu Jinyan had caused her was instantly replaced by the joy of reunion, and only the pleasant memories of their time together remained in the original owner's mind.
So the two quickly warmed up to each other again, as if the small misunderstanding between them had never existed.
However, the peaceful campus life did not last long.
The original owner was stunned when she suddenly heard that her aunt had miscarried. This news was like a bolt from the blue.
Even more tragically, my aunt succumbed to severe bleeding and passed away.
The original owner was filled with confusion and sorrow. She could only obey her parents' arrangements and go to her aunt's funeral.
After the funeral, because the original owner still had to attend classes, the elders asked her cousin to take her back to school.
Along the way, the original owner's mind was filled with images of her aunt's voice and smile, and tears welled up in her eyes.
When his cousin saw the original owner's appearance, he panicked. He hurriedly pulled out a tissue from his pocket and handed it to the original owner, while constantly coaxing him.
"A-Su, don't cry. Your aunt certainly wouldn't want to see you so sad. You need to take good care of yourself, otherwise your aunt in heaven will be heartbroken."
His cousin's voice carried a hint of anxiety and concern. He then hurriedly ran to a roadside shop and bought some of the original owner's favorite snacks and drinks.
The original owner accepted her cousin's kindness, along with the still-warm tissue. She looked up and nodded gratefully to her cousin, then waved goodbye and, suppressing her grief, turned and walked towards the school.
After that seemingly ordinary farewell, the original owner of Su Su, carrying the snacks her cousin had bought for her, returned to the classroom with heavy steps.
Her eyes were still red, and sadness surged in her heart like a tide, difficult to quell.
The other students in the classroom, seeing Su Su's appearance, were curious, but out of politeness and respect for her emotions, they subconsciously chose to remain silent and did not voice their questions.
Xu Jinyan, however, had no such concerns whatsoever.
As if she had discovered something new and interesting, her gaze lingered on the bag of snacks in Su Su's hand for a moment before quickly shifting to the tear stains at the corners of Su Su's eyes.
With her usual enthusiasm, Xu Jinyan walked straight towards Su Su, took the bag of snacks from her hand, and shouted without any restraint.
"Susu, who was that handsome guy who brought you to school? Have you secretly gotten a boyfriend?"
Su Su was a little confused by the sudden question. She stared blankly at Xu Jinyan, her mind still a mess from crying so hard. It took her a while to come to her senses and open her mouth to answer.
But before she could utter a single word, she was interrupted by Xu Jinyan's rapid-fire remarks.
"I saw it all. Your boyfriend not only bought you snacks, but also thoughtfully gave you tissues to wipe your tears. Wow! That's so romantic! It's just like the male and female leads in a Korean drama!"
As Xu Jinyan spoke excitedly, she gestured wildly to describe the scene she was seeing, seemingly oblivious to Su Su's sadness and shock.
