The woman was only thinking about shifting the blame as quickly as possible, while her accomplice was trying to minimize his presence and praying that the madam wouldn't notice him. Suddenly, he heard the woman's words and immediately became furious.
He pointed at the woman and started cursing, "You shameless filthy woman, it was clearly you who, after our other two accomplices were arrested and taken to the authorities, were dissatisfied with those five people and then came up with the idea to kidnap them. Moreover, it was you who came up with the idea and tricked them into coming here. What, now you want to push all the blame onto me?"
His accomplice spat on the ground and said viciously, "I'm telling you, not a chance."
The woman glanced at the madam in a panic, only to see that the madam's face had turned even uglier. The woman then yelled at her companion, "I only did it after you suggested it; it has nothing to do with me."
"Pah!" The accomplice spat at the woman again, saying, "If you ask me, I'm the one who's innocent. Usually, when you kidnap people, you're the one who takes the lion's share. Now that something's happened, you've finally thought of me?"
The accomplice looked at the madam and said obsequiously, "Good sister, please don't listen to this old slut."
The madam, watching the two men shifting blame, grinned, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth, and said in a sinister and frightening way, "Don't worry, you two, you're both responsible for this. Neither of you can escape."
"When you two dared to play me and caused such heavy losses to my Chunxianglou, you should have expected your fate today."
"Good sister, you can't do this." The woman had witnessed the madam's methods firsthand, and she had even seen how the madam dealt with those disobedient people sent to Chunxiang Pavilion. The woman's accomplices were also kowtowing to the madam.
The madam sneered, "Since you can't compensate me for my losses, then you'll have to pay for them yourselves."
The woman was stunned, not understanding what the madam meant. Stone, however, understood the madam's meaning. He stepped forward, looked at the woman and her companions, and laughed. There was a hint of cruelty in his laughter. He said, "Your idea is better."

The madam was also sizing up the woman and her accomplice, her eyes filled with cruelty and disgust, calculating how much she could make up for her losses if she sold them at Chunxiang Pavilion.
The woman and her accomplice were both nearly forty years old. Because of their laziness, their figures and skin were not good. However, having run Chunxiang Pavilion for so many years, she knew some customers with unknown fetishes and preferred this kind of different type.
So, since these two are so eager to make amends, she'll grant their wish and let them work at Chunxianglou; at least they can earn some money that way.
The woman and her companions were stunned by what Stone and the madam said; the madam actually wanted them to sell themselves.
