Chapter 466 - 468: Super Mom’s Perfect Finale (9)

After all that was done, the tour guide said with a smile, "Alright, our special mission is complete. Next up is the main mission for this episode."

He held a script in his hand and slowly read, "Our production team received a special request from a friend here in the village."

"He works away from home most of the year and rarely gets to see his wife and daughter. He hopes we can help him take a family portrait that he can carry with him to ease his longing for them."

Ruby Preston nodded. "Old Sinclair is a professional photographer, so having him shoot it will be no problem. But what else do we have to do besides the photoshoot?"

After so many episodes, Ruby Preston clearly didn’t believe the production team would give them such a simple task.

The tour guide chuckled. "Our mission is indeed the photoshoot. However, a photoshoot involves more than just taking pictures. First, we need to set up a nice, cozy venue."

He gestured for everyone to look behind them. "See that platform back there? That’s the stage where you can let your creativity run wild. You need to decorate the scene first, and then people will come over for the photoshoot."

Decorating the stage had to start with a design. Naomi Kenway picked up a pen and paper and sketched a rough idea of the decor. "A flower theme seems pretty good, what do you all think?"

Ruby Preston looked at Naomi Kenway in surprise. "You sketched out the whole stage with just a few simple strokes. Naomi, have you studied painting before?"

Naomi Kenway smiled. "A little."

Naomi Kenway had studied painting for a while as a child. Later, in college, she joined the painting club to appeal to Caleb Bishop’s interests. Caleb himself had even taught her oil painting for a time.

As she recalled these things now, Naomi Kenway was calmer than she had expected.

Caleb Bishop had been out of her life for a long time. Trying to recall him now, she realized her memory of him in his youth had already grown hazy.

Ruby Preston praised her, "Naomi, you’re so multi-talented! No wonder Ian’s drawing was so good last time. It turns out you were guiding him."

Naomi Kenway said, "Not really. Ian’s painting is mostly taught by his private tutor. He’s very gifted at it, so he learns extremely quickly."

Incorporating the other guests’ suggestions, Naomi Kenway revised the design sketch.

In the end, everyone was unanimously satisfied with the plan.

The production team hadn’t provided any props, so building a stage wouldn’t be easy.

The guests decided to split up and search for the props they needed, like flowers, balloons, and a birthday cake...

Naomi Kenway’s family was responsible for finding the cake.

There was nowhere in the village that sold cakes, so her family went to the nearby town. After asking for directions, they turned onto a street that had several cake shops.

It also happened to be market day, so the streets were bustling and filled with the endless cries of vendors.

Along the way, a few fans recognized Naomi Kenway’s family and excitedly asked if they could take a picture.

After getting permission, the fans left satisfied with their photos. Before leaving, one of them bought three skewers of candied fruit and gave them to Naomi Kenway. "I saw the episode where you went to the market. I remember Nina and Ian both really liked the candied fruit skewers, and I felt it was a bit of a shame that President Shaw didn’t get to have any. I bought three this time. Here, Nina, one for each of you."

"Thank you."

After thanking them, Naomi Kenway’s family continued on their way.

Soon, they arrived at the first cake shop, a place called Sweet Times.

Naomi Kenway stood hesitantly at the entrance. They had handed all their money over to the production team and had none to buy a cake.

Ethan Shaw said, "We can trade something else for it."

Naomi Kenway already had an idea.

They walked up, but before they could even speak, the female owner excitedly grabbed their hands. "Naomi Kenway, are you guys here filming the show? I love your family so much! I’m so excited to see you. I can’t believe I’m meeting you here."

It turned out she was a fan.

Naomi Kenway tactfully explained their purpose for being there. "Hello, we’re very happy to meet you too. I was wondering if we could ask you for a favor... You see, we need to get a cake, but we..."

"I know, the production team must have taken all your money," the owner said cheerfully. "I’m a loyal viewer of your show. I know all the rules by heart!"

Naomi Kenway nodded and smiled. "That’s right. We’d like to ask you to make a cake for us. In return, we can grant you one wish, as long as it’s within our power."

The owner’s eyes lit up. "In that case, I do have a wish! Could you take a few photos with me? Oh, and also give my daughter an autograph? She’s away at school in the county town, but she loves you guys just as much as I do. We’re both die-hard fans!"

"Of course! Is that your only wish?"

"Yes, that’s my only wish! The cake is no problem. I’ll have my staff make it for you right away. What size do you need? I have a catalog of designs here, want to take a look?"

Getting the cake went unexpectedly smoothly.

As they left, Naomi Kenway’s family waved goodbye to the cake shop owner.

When they hurried back to the village square, they saw that the other guests had already started decorating. The materials they needed to collect could all be found in the village, so they had been much faster.

A few hours passed. As the sky grew dark, the venue was set up, and twinkling lights gave the stage a wonderful atmosphere.

The guests had put in a great deal of effort. Flowers and balloons were arranged in the shape of a heart, and a huge backdrop behind it had been carefully painted by the guests, blending in with the cozy scene.

After they finished setting the scene, the guests all breathed a collective sigh of relief.

Chelsea Raines massaged her legs. "The scene’s all set up. Where are the main characters?"

A few staff members came over and handed each guest an exquisitely designed gift box.

Naomi Kenway opened her gift box to find a stunning red mermaid-style dress. The craftsmanship was exquisite; it was clear the production team had put a lot of thought into it.

She immediately looked toward Ethan Shaw and Ian. Ian was holding a small black suit, while Ethan held a white suit with a Paisley-patterned tie, giving him a very roguishly dapper look.

Naomi Kenway glanced aside and saw Ruby Preston holding an elegant, stately blue dress. Each guest had received a different outfit.

All the guests were a bit bewildered. Chelsea Raines was the first to ask, "Why are they giving us clothes? Are we supposed to be the human backdrop?"

"You’re not the backdrop," the tour guide said. "You are the main characters."

Naomi Kenway guessed what was happening. "So there was no special request? We decorated this whole place for our own photoshoot?"

"Smart!" The tour guide gave her a thumbs-up. "Alright guests, go get changed! We’re getting ready for the photoshoot!"
