Chapter 230 The Orcs' Attack
Chapter 230 The Orcs' Attack
The orcs' attack has begun!
Russell stood on the front lines of the hive, his towering figure like an unshakeable mountain. His power armor was covered in battle scars, and the Kashezin insignia on his shoulder armor gleamed coldly in the sunlight.
He gripped the "Fire Kirin" in his hand, the barrel of the laser gun slightly warm, as if ready to unleash deadly flames at any moment. In his other hand, the blade of the Bloodthirsty entrenching tool gleamed coldly, as if thirsting for the enemy's blood.
"Russell, the orcs' vanguard is approaching." His second-in-command, Leos, walked over, his voice deep and powerful.
Despite being an Oglin, Brutal's eyes revealed a calmness and wisdom unlike those of other Oglins. He held the Stormshield Power Hammer and followed closely behind Russell.
Russell nodded, his gaze sweeping across the position behind him. Dozens of Kashejin warriors were already poised for battle, their eyes filled with fighting spirit. Commissar Arek stood at the very front of the formation, his power sword already drawn, its blade pointing straight to the sky.
“The orc lads are just an appetizer,” Russell said in a deep voice. “The real threat is the big guys and the war bosses. We must weaken their forces as much as possible before they break through our defenses.”
The brutal response was a low growl.
Russell's lips curled into a cold smile. He knew this battle would be tough, but he also believed that with his own strength and the team's coordination, they would definitely be able to repel the orcs' attack.
"Everyone, prepare for battle!" Russell shouted, his voice echoing across the battlefield like thunder.
On the distant horizon, a green wave was rapidly approaching. The roars of the orcs were deafening, their battle cries filled with savagery and fury. Orc lads, brandishing crude weapons, charged at the forefront, followed closely by even larger orc warriors and hulking figures. War leaders and warlords sat in the rear, directing this frenzied offensive.
"Fire Kirin, prepare!" Russell raised his laser gun and aimed at the charging orc boy. His finger was on the trigger, a cold glint in his eyes.
"Fire!"
At Russell's command, a dense barrage of fire erupted on the battlefield. Laser beams, explosive bombs, and plasma bursts intertwined, reaping orc lives like the Grim Reaper's scythe. With each shot from Russell's "Fire Kirin," an orc boy fell, while his Bloodthirsty entrenching tool whirled through the air in close combat, each strike sending sprays of blood flying.
"For the Emperor!" Russell roared and charged forward, his movements swift and fierce, his laser gun firing wildly, the orc boys falling like wheat before him.
An orc warrior lunged forward.
Russell swiftly met the orc warrior with his entrenching tool, cleaving him in two like lightning. Blood splattered onto his power armor, the blade of the Blooddrinker entrenching tool flashing an eerie red light, as if sucking the life from its enemy.
"Russell, watch out!" Leos's voice suddenly rang out. Russell quickly turned around and saw a huge orc charging towards him, wielding a massive cleaver. The orc was nearly five meters tall, with bulging muscles and astonishing strength.
Russell sneered and fearlessly charged forward. He swiftly dodged the big man's machete and thrust his entrenching tool toward the man's chest like a venomous snake.
"Die, you green-skinned beast!" Russell roared, his entrenching tool piercing the big man's chest. The big man let out a shrill scream, his massive body crashing to the ground.
The battle continued, the orcish attacks coming wave after wave, seemingly endless. Russell and his team fought fiercely on the battlefield, every warrior fighting for the Emperor's glory. With each orc falling, the system's notifications echoed in Russell's mind:
"Obtained 1 Big Muscle Man Fragment".
"Obtained 1 Big Muscle Man Fragment".
…………
The battle continues and is becoming increasingly fierce!
The surface of Vigilant Star trembled under the waves of orcish attacks, as if the planet itself was wailing for its impending destruction.
In the sky, orcish junk fighters clashed with human thunder fighters, the roar of engines and the flashes of explosions creating a chaotic battlefield. On the ground, hordes of orc warriors surged forward like a green tide, their battle cries deafening, their crude weapons gleaming coldly in the sunlight.
Russell charged to the forefront of the position, his "Fire Kirin" laser gun continuously spewing deadly energy beams, each strike accurately felling an orc warrior. The Bloodthirsty entrenching tool swung swiftly in his hands, its blade flashing an eerie red light, each slash sending a spray of blood through the air.
"Brutal, follow me!" Russell growled, his voice carrying an undeniable authority.
The Oglin followed closely behind, his physique even more imposing than Russell's. His Stormshield and Power Hammer made him appear like a mobile steel fortress. The Stormshield deflected the orcish bullets and shells, while each swing of the Power Hammer smashed an orc warrior into a bloody pulp. The savage roars mingled with the orcish battle cries, sounding like two colossal beasts tearing each other apart on the battlefield.
"Russell, left flank!" Leos's voice came through the communicator, calm and decisive. As a tactical commander, his eyes were always fixed on the situation across the entire battlefield.
Russell turned around quickly and saw a group of orc warriors trying to break through the defenses from the left.
He sneered and activated "Imperial Protection," golden light instantly enveloping his body. His speed, strength, and reaction time increased dramatically, and the firing rate of his laser gun increased significantly, causing orc warriors to fall like wheat before him.
"Kashejin warriors, hold the left flank!" Russell shouted, his voice echoing across the battlefield like thunder.
The Kashejin warriors responded swiftly, their laser guns and plasma weapons unleashing a dense barrage of fire, suppressing the orc warriors attempting to break through. Simultaneously, a Kadian legion arrived from the flank, their discipline and tactical coordination further solidifying the defensive line.
In the sky, the orcs' shoddy fighter jets swooped down, attempting to strafe the human positions with makeshift bombs and machine guns. However, the human Thunder fighters swiftly retaliated, their air-to-air missiles and cannon fire weaving a deadly net across the sky. One orc fighter was hit, plummeting to the ground in black smoke, its explosion illuminating half the sky.
"Russell, watch out! The Ancient Giant Chicken is coming!" Leos's voice rang out again, his tone tinged with urgency.
Russell looked up and saw several enormous orc war machines slowly approaching on the distant horizon. The giant chickens were comparable in size to Titans, their rough metal shells covered in rivets and weld marks, their massive cannons and saw blades gleaming coldly in the sunlight. Behind them, the figures of the monstrous Golems were even more awe-inspiring; these enormous war machines seemed like monsters straight out of a nightmare.
"Titan Legion, attack!" Russell issued the order via communicator.
Humanity's Titans slowly emerged from the rear of their positions, each step causing the earth to tremble. Their plasma cannons and volcanic cannons unleashed devastating energy, striking a giant ancient chicken directly. In a massive explosion, the ancient chicken's shell was torn apart, exposing its internal mechanical structure, before it was reduced to scrap metal in a violent blast.
The Dreadnoughts and the Mechanicus's Iron Guards joined the battle, their firepower halting the orcs' advance. Russell seized the opportunity and led the Kashejin warriors in a counterattack.
"For the Emperor!" Russell raised his entrenching tool, his voice filled with fighting spirit.
"For the Emperor!" the Kashejin warriors responded in unison, their voices echoing across the battlefield like thunder.
The battle reached its climax, with orc attacks coming wave after wave, seemingly endless. However, the human defenses, held firm by Russell and his team, remained unyielding. As the orcs fell, system notifications echoed continuously in Russell's mind:
"Obtained 1 Big Muscle Man Fragment".
"Obtained 1 Big Muscle Man Fragment".
Russell knew that as long as he continued to fight, one day he would synthesize enough super armor to become an even more powerful warrior.
