Chapter 220 Cursed Legion
Chapter 220 Cursed Legion
Harken's black wings unfurled amidst the blood mist, his spear, "Void Spike," pressed against the energy core of Crimson Fist's last fortress. The Skullreaper Harken's savage grin suddenly froze—the sky cracked open.
Twelve golden beams pierced the clouds, revealing translucent psionic warriors within. Ancient imperial emblems flowed across their armor, and their explosive guns fired burning psionic flames.
"The Cursed Legion..." Harken's voice carried fear for the first time, "This is impossible!"
The leader of the cursed warriors raised a psionic battle banner, upon which the emblem of the Great Crusade from ten thousand years ago appeared. As the first Black Legion warrior attempted to charge, his body was suddenly engulfed in golden flames and instantly turned to ashes.
Harken's power claws swung towards the nearest cursed warrior, but pierced directly through the warrior's spirit body. The cursed warrior retaliated with a sword strike, the psionic blade leaving a charred wound on Harken's wing.
“Damn illusion!” Harken’s wings unleashed a warp storm, but the psionic warriors simply waved their hands, and the storm was dispelled by holy light.
The Black Legion's chaos wizards attempted to summon demons, but the Cursed Leader raised his battle banner. A warp rift suddenly collapsed in reverse, crushing the emerging bloodthirsty berserker.
"In the name of the Emperor." The voice of the Cursed Leader sounded like a chorus of millions of souls. The psionic cannon in his hand began to charge, and the phantom of Terra Palace appeared at the muzzle.
Harken's wing suddenly broke off a primary wing. This was the first time in ten thousand years that he had felt the threat of death. The Skull Snatcher, Harken made a decisive move, tearing open a rift in the warp to retreat from the battlefield.
As the last Chaos Warrior was purified, the Cursed Legion began to dissipate. Their forms transformed into golden specks of light that rose into the sky, piecing together the outline of the Emperor's statue amidst the clouds.
Commander Pedro clutched his shattered breastplate, watching his warriors kneeling in prayer amidst the rain of light. The technical sergeant's instruments showed that the genetic seeds of all the fallen had vanished—as if reclaimed by some force itself.
“They took away the souls of the warriors,” the think tank director said softly. “Perhaps this is true imperial mercy.”
Deep within the city's deepest sewers, a surviving Chaos wizard used his last strength to inscribe a message. Written in blood on parchment: "The curse has manifested, the gods are enraged. The plan must be accelerated..."

This sacred scene completely stunned Russell, and his feelings became very complicated. It turned out that the Emperor's apparition was real; he had thought it was a Warhammer joke.

In the strategic command center of the Crimson Fist flagship, the Unyielding Will, Chapter Commander Pedro Cantor stood before a holographic projection, the crack in his breastplate still bearing the marks of the spear pierced by Harken. A medical servo skull hovered beside him, constantly issuing warnings, which the Chapter Commander dismissed with a wave of his hand.
“Report the situation.” His voice remained calm and firm.
On the tactical hologram, every battlefield on Saint Night Star was marked:
- Northern Theater Command: 98% clearance rate
Southern Theater Command: 95% clearance rate
- Underground network: 87% cleanup rate
“According to the latest intelligence,” Chief strategist Varo Digglis’s voice came through the communicator, “Harken has fled to the ‘Blood Throne’—a demonic planet located on the edge of the Nakmonde Corridor.”
The holographic image shifts to reveal a planet shrouded in a blood-red atmosphere. The planet's surface is covered with enormous skull-like structures, and a space station made of flesh and metal floats in orbit.
Pedro's fingers swiped rapidly across the holographic platform, bringing up the battle plan:
1. Vanguard
- Led by the Aksu Company Commander
- Includes 200 Space Marines
- 6 Warhound-class Titans
- Objective: Establish a login point
2. Main force
- The warband commander personally commanded
- Includes 500 Space Marines
- 12 Predator-class Titans
- Objective: Destroy the main defensive structures
3. Support Fleet
- Commanded by Admiral Theresa
- Includes 3 battleships
- 24 cruisers
- Objective: To control orbital space
The holographic projection revealed the figure of the Karga Chapter Commander, his blue power armor adorned with a golden laurel wreath: "Pedro, I demand that you utterly eliminate Harken. Do not let him tarnish the Empire's honor any further."
Two royal guards stood on either side of Kargar, their golden armor gleaming in the lamplight. The Chapter Master's words carried an undeniable authority: "The Blood Throne must be purified, at whatever cost."
Pedro stood in the bridge broadcast room, his voice carrying across the entire fleet through the communications network: "Warriors, we are about to enter the land of the demons. But remember, we are the sons of Dorne, the Emperor's sword!"
Holographic projections switch to each combat unit:
Space Marines are inspecting their weapons.
- Titan crew members are conducting final system commissioning.
- Naval crew marking targets on orbital charts
"For the Emperor! For Dorne!" The Chapter Master's roar echoed through space.
With the roar of its engines, the "Unyielding Will" led its massive fleet into the warp. At the edge of the Nakmonde Corridor, a decisive battle was about to begin.

"Unyielding Will" - Battle Group Commander's Private Meeting Room
Russell stood before the holographic projection, his "Fire Kirin" and "Blood Drinker" neatly arranged on the weapon rack. Pedro Canto, the chapter commander, still had blood seeping from the wound on his chest, but his gaze remained sharp as a knife.
“You are my most trusted warrior,” the Chapter Commander said, pointing to a flashing red dot on the holographic map. “This is the core of the Blood Throne—the ‘Skull Altar.’”
Mission Briefing
The holographic image is magnified, revealing the detailed structure of the altar:
- External defense:
Triple Void Shield
- Flesh and Blood Turret x47
- Demon Guard x Unknown
- Internal structure:
- Subspace Energy Core
- Harken's Throne Room
- Unknown area (probing obstructed)
“Your mission,” Pedro pulled up a encrypted file, “is to infiltrate the altar and shut down the energy core. This will cripple the entire planet’s defense systems.”
Special equipment
The technical sergeant pushed in an equipment vehicle:
1. Stealth device
- Optical camouflage (Duration: 47 minutes)
- Warp Disruptor (can block demonic perception)
- Gene camouflage (simulating chaotic energy characteristics)
2. Destructive tools
- Holy Energy Bomb x3 (Equivalent to: destroy a small fortress)
- Psionic Hack x1
- Mechanicus Universal Key x1
3. Escape equipment
- Emergency Teleportation Beacon x1
- 12 medical nanorobots
- Imperial Seal Amulet x1
The director of the Varo Digglis think tank presented a set of data:
- Estimated survival rate: 17.3%
- Probability of being detected: 89.7%
- Mission time limit: 4 hours (after which planetary defenses will be fully activated)
“Remember,” Pedro’s voice suddenly softened, “if you find the situation is beyond your expectations, retreat immediately. The Empire cannot afford to lose such a fine warrior as you.”
Russell checked the equipment; his system interface displayed the latest data:
- "Fire Kirin" Proficiency: /
- "Blood Drinker" absorption rate: 72%
- Special Skills:
- Emperor's Protection (Cooldown complete)
- Soul of the Serpent (Remaining uses: 1)
"Ready?" Company Commander Aksu walked in and handed Russell a data panel. "This is the latest patrol route map. Remember, you only have a 47-second window."
Russell nodded and inserted the data panel into the tactical eyepiece. The holographic image immediately displayed the optimal infiltration route and 47 potential danger points.
As the transport hatch closed, Russell took one last look at the bridge of the Indomitable Will. He knew this might be the last time he saw the Imperial skies.
